INDEPENDENT LABEL: THERESE RAWSTHORNE

Australian-based designer Therese Rawsthorne is my new favorite. The style of Therese Rathborne has a confident and effortless ease, and all the pieces are very my style. All of the pieces are tailored extremely well, and I would die to have any of them. I personally think that Therese Rawsthorne should be well-known world wide. Being a pretty new designer, established in 2006, I hope that the label will only go up from here!

I NEED TO

Yes, I need to talk about this. The new McQueen line. First off, I'd like to say that NO ONE can ever replace McQueen. But in my eyes, Sarah Burton did an amazing job at taking over the line, and she was the perfect person to take over. I'm sorry about the repetition there, but I couldn't use the word replace. Like I said no one can ever replace him. McQueen had an amazing vision. His creativity was endless and that was shown in his creations in clothing, accessories, and set design for his runway shows. He was a true show-man. But moving on, Sarah Burton has an amazing vision as well. She did a great job at designing some pieces that still held true to McQueen's vision. This is one of my favorite lines of S/S 2011 RTW.

Bold colors, strong cuts, and geometric prints galore! Donatella Versace knocks it out of the park again! Well, then again, when has Versace ever gone wrong? Never. This year proves no different. A big contrast compared to the flirty feminine looks from last year's Spring 2010 Collection, but comparable to the F/W collection that also featured bold colors and strong cuts. This collection seems to be perfect for the strong women who isn't afraid of clothing.
